Vintage Mariner To Mars Press Kit

Original vintage Mariner Press Kit covering the Mission to Mars.

This vintage official NASA publication is in very good condition. VG+

The first page has a note written on the top and the project circled and some of the paragraphs inside have been highlighted with a yellow highlight pen.

A wonderful collectors item as this was one of the first colour space posters produced. The above image is the front while folded (10" X 7") and on the back (while folded) has a time table of Space Exploration with Status of the Satellites and all primary mission details starting with Sputnik I that launched 4 Oct. 1957 and ends with Explorer VII - launch date 13 Oct. 1959. A total of 20 missions are listed. On the back of the Poster, when unfolded, it has a paragraph on subjects like Rockets, The tracking Camera, Space Taxi, Space Stations, Television Satellites, and Space Suits to name a few.

The front is the main attraction, seen below. A full colour display of the solar system and is surrounded by the dreams of the future with loads of facts and actual diagrams.

This 1959 vintage poster is in good condition. I have taped the creases that were about to tear in the body and along the edges. A fine collectors item that is fully intact and well worth having in its current condition.

Distributed Through The National Aerospace Education Council 1966

A wonderful map of the moon with clear longitude and latitudes and the names of the craters and regions are clearly seen. On the left a brief introduction about the Moon and in the Blue Box all primary Lunar Data is given. The large Orange Box is an Index to all the Named Lunar Formations and in the lower Blue Box is a list of all Major Lunar Programs that have happened as of 1966 and what is planned like the Apollo Program.

At the Bottom is 4 photos of the lunar surface taken by Ranger 7 & 9 and Surveyor 1 with a description of each.

This fine 1966 vintage poster is printed on nice heavy paper and has no tears or any other flaws. It is in very good condition, near mint.
